REGARD Antique Love Token Ring 14k Gold Ring Romantic Victorian Engraved Ornate Cigar Eternity Band Wedding Stacker Love Gift Jewelry Words
I am back from my inventory trips to Europe with quite a lot of antique treasures to share with you! If this one were my size, it'd be in my personal collection as I love jewelry with words and have a few Regard rings this would go well with!
Sturdy eternity cigar band in 14k gold, ready to layer and stack with warm antique patina. All around it are raised panels with the letters spelling "REGARD" so it was given as a love token during the antique period, perhaps betrothal, perhaps wedding or even friendship. This would have had a panel of braided hair tucked into the channel of the ring behind all the letters. It came to me this way / vacant and when I saw it, I found I love the shadow box style to it, where the engraved letter panels float above the sturdiness of the shank.
Nice quality hand feel and a great antique look with the wonderful sentiment, and of course the lettered panels make it such a great conversation piece.
Antique box / props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 9.5. 5.6mm north to south and 2mm thick / deep to the raised panels. It weighs 2.9 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Antique patina, note that it is quite warm overall and especially in the recesses of the channel but stable, sturdy and legible, ready to wear.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
